Tim’s Background
Tim practices primarily in land and property transactions. Along with buying and selling property, Tim helps his clients with subdivisions, easements and other land transactions.
Prior to becoming BC Notary, Tim worked with his father, Ernie Janzen, making Tim a second generation Notary Public. Along with Ernie, Tim previously owned and operated an insurance agency. Tim is also a former pilot.
Tim is one of the founding members of The Notary Group, and was a founding member in TNG Legal Services MDP, BC’s first multi-disciplinary practice of BC Notaries and BC Lawyers working together.
The Society of Notaries Public of British Columbia recognized Tim for 25 years of service as a BC Notary. As a result of his long experience as a BC Notary, Tim acts as a mentor and guide to many legal professionals.
While Tim’s practice focuses primarily in the area of property law, Tim has always continued to take annual training courses in all areas of a BC Notary’s practice, and has taken additional training in Indigenous real property.
