Are your clients nowhere near conveyancing services?

It’s sometimes hard to find legal services in rural communities. We can help.

We provide remote services to help clients who live far away from the nearest notary or conveyancing lawyer.

If your client has the following things, we can help get their deal done remotely:

  • a smartphone, tablet or computer with a good internet connection that can create, send and receive texts, pictures and videos
  • an email address unique to the client, not shared with anyone else
  • valid and current government-issued ID (one with a photo and the other proving Canadian citizenship, such as a passport, birth certificate, SIN Card, etc.)

We can even find workarounds If your client is missing some of these items– just let us know and we’ll work out a plan.

No more:

  • driving for hours to find a legal representative
  • losing clients because they’re “too far out”
  • juggling paperwork with someone who’s snowed in, working away or just busy

Here’s What We Do

  • meet the clients virtually (smartphone, tablet, computer — if they have a good internet connection and the ability to take and record videos and pictures and meet by videoconference, we’re good)
  • prepare the documents they need for their deal and help them electronically sign as much as possible
  • work with a Section 15 Notary in a BC Services location near them for any in-person signatures needed
  • report back to clients (and you) when it’s all done

We Made a Map for That

Some files (those involving mortgages, for example) still need an in-person signature for a few documents.

For these files, we partner with a “Section 15 Notary” – a specially appointed notary who works out of a Service BC location in rural communities where there is no other legal representation nearby.

We don’t need a Section 15 Notary for all files. If you’re not sure whether your client will need in-person signatures, just ask and we’ll figure it out with you.

If your client isn’t near one of these Service BC Locations, we can usually work out a Plan B.

Why Realtors Use This Program

You might use this program if your client:

  • lives in a place where there is no notary or conveyancing lawyer (or where those professionals are maxed out)
  • is buying a cabin on the lake
  • lives on a farm 200km from the next nearest big city
  • is working up north and can’t leave camp
  • is too busy to travel — but the deal still needs to close
