Gabriel ("Gabe") Theron was born in South Africa and came to Canada in 2009. He lived in Abbotsford before joining The Notary Group in Penticton. Gabe has been a BC Notary since July 2022.

Gabe has a long and diverse career in several fields, including the legal services industry, such as a 16-year career as a CSI and expert court witness in the South African Police Services.

Gabe has a master's degree in Holistic Counselling, which supported him in serving on several non-profit organizations and establishing and managing a sub-acute psychiatric hospital in South Africa, which focused on young adults and assisting them in reintegrating into society.

Gabe's Canadian master's degree in criminal justice opened several opportunities to see and experience various Canadian cultures and learn about the daily struggles many Canadian communities experience. In addition, drawing on his IT and Supply Chain experience background, Gabe spent a year on Baffin Island, learning what real winters feel like.

His recent master's degree in applied law from Simon Fraser University allowed him to work as a legal professional practicing non-contentious law. Gabe now does what he loves most - serving his community as a BC Notary.

While Gabe's preferred area of practice focuses on Personal Planning, Gabe holds many qualifications and received training in different fields, including an Immigration Practitioner's Diploma and acting as an Executor. In addition, Gabe believes in lifelong learning. Therefore, he regularly takes courses through the Society of Notaries Public and other third parties.
